About

Who am I?

Why, I'm me! Or, more (or maybe less) specifically, I am Catherine Nygren.

What do I do?

I write and read and think about things, and in my spare time I play video games and the ukulele.

I am in the first year of my PhD at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. My research focuses on digital scholarly editions using my work on Alexander Pope's 1729 Dunciad Variorum as a case study.

My undergrad and MA were both completed at the University of Saskatchewan.

What will you find here?

Words and pictures and bits and bytes. I blog primarily about academic things - my pursuit of the ever-elusive grad degree, relevant articles and news items, and ideas or reviews about the odd book or game or other work.

If you're looking for my writing about the places I've been, you can find it here!

You can find me on Twitter or in Canada.
